Free Consultation

This option is for individuals with relatively simple or uncontested cases who need an attorney to represent them. During this brief consultation, we will review your case and see if one of our attorneys would be a good match to represent you. This is also a good option if you are looking for a simple cohabitation, prenuptial, or postnuptial agreement. The Firm may record these consultations and use them for training or promotional purposes. These will occur virtually, not in person. There is often a 2-week to 3-week wait for a Free Consultation spot.

Paid Consultation

This option allows you to meet with a more experienced attorney. If your case is financially or psychologically complicated or involves custodial issues, domestic violence, alimony, or high asset division, this is the option to choose. For this option, 30-minute or 60-minute in-person or virtual consultations are available.

CONSULTATION PREPARATION

In preparing for your consultation, please consider your goals and priorities and envision what a positive outcome would look like for you and your family. This peek into the future allows us to better tailor the case and our representation to your goals. If thinking about the future is overwhelming or difficult, consider meeting regularly with a therapist or divorce coach for support. We have found that clients who have a clear view of their future or are in regular therapy often resolve their cases more quickly with better outcomes than those who don’t. That is one reason we offer clients therapy and divorce coach services as a part of our team approach. If your children have been involved in any of the conflicts, please consider enrolling them in therapy immediately to support them. It is also important to consider your expectations for the process; this will give us a starting point for determining whether one of our attorneys can assist you.
